The three unions are negotiating together in a council format with the company, representing 180 workers at the Delaware County casino, including housekeepers, bartenders, cocktail servers, cooks, bellmen, doormen, and more. The three unions came together under the “Unite Here” banner in hopes of coming to an agreement with Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack. This is the first time unionized workers have ever picketed Harrah’s since it opened its doors.
On Friday, October 13, 2023, members of Unite Here Local 54, Laborers Local 413, Teamsters Local 107, and their allies took public action against Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack to demand better wages, working conditions and a fair contract.
